LEILA Lopes has made history in International Beauty contest after becoming Miss Universe with the big age of 25 years, since the establishment of beauty pageant in 1952, New York, USA.
She became Miss Universe in a annual international beauty contest held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, recently and she bring the total of five winners from Africa, since 1952. The first winner in 1952 was from Finland, Armi Kuusela with the age of 18 years, from Muhos. The beauty contest has total of 60 winners, since founded in 1952.
Since founded, Leila has become the third winner with the big age, the first winner with big age was Brook Mahealani Lee from Pearl City in United State of America, she became Miss Universe in 1997 with the age of 26 years. The second was Wendy Fitzwilliam from Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago, who became Miss Universe in 1998 with the age of 25 years.
