Violation of human right in Libya-Amnesty

THE up-rising of Libya amounted to the total violation of human right, compared to what happened to the up-rising of other northern countries, because the army in power and the militias, both involved in the violation of human right in the country. It has been discovered.
This year report of Amnesty International discovered a lot of violation of human right in Libya to both side in the conflict. The report discovered the violation done by Muammar Gaddafi’s forces, they committed war crime throughout the conflict, including by carrying out attacks targeting civilians and indiscriminate attacks.
Amnesty report said that Gaddafi’s forces launched artillery, mortar and rocket attacks against resident areas, and used inherently indiscriminate weapons such as anti-personnel mines and cluster bombs. They also concealed tanks and heavy military equipment in residential buildings.
According to the report which contained 24 pages,  forces loyal to the National transitional Council (NTC), have also committed abuse that in some cases amounted to war crime.
Take an example of a 17 year-old boy from Chad who was beaten near to death, he told Amnesty that anti-Gaddafi’s forces accused him of rape and being a mercenary to Gaddafi.
The report indicated that the arrest was done without arrest warrant, beaten and some times worse on arrest and arrival in detention.
Some 300 prisoners have been interviewed by Amnesty in 11 detention facilities around the capital of Tripoli, Zawiya and Misrata, where they more than half of the of the prisoners are foreigners who suspected mercenaries.
Libyan up-rising started from Benghazi where people complained to be sidelined by Gaddafi regime, being punished because they were not with him, accusing him of dictatorship.
The up-rising in Benghazi was supported by  the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and they started to bomb Tripoli.
The intrusion of NATO in Libya was the result of the resolution number 1973 of the Security Council of United Nation which imposed a ban on all flights in the country’s airspace of Libya. A no-fly zone.
But the implementation of resolution 1973 was contrary to what most members of the Security Council thought. Because the resolution turned in to help rebels to take out by gun the sovereign state of Muammar Gaddafi.
The intrusion of NATO in Libya also the violation of the international law which protect the sovereign state and also violation of human right.
